We Must Have It — Gentleness
Scripture~
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.Against such things there is no law.
Devotional~
Gentleness is strength under control. It’s not weakness — it’s power wrapped in grace.
We must have gentleness because harshness can destroy what love is trying to heal. Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). Meekness means being yielded — to God’s will, to His way, and to His Spirit.
A gentle spirit can turn away wrath, calm conflict, and restore peace. It’s how we reflect the heart of Christ, who handled us with mercy when we deserved judgment.
Prayer~
Lord, help me to walk in gentleness. Let my words carry grace, and my actions reflect Your tenderness. Teach me to love softly, even when life feels hard.
